• Healthy and Active Participatory Program for Youth (HAPPY)
Healthy and Active Participatory Program for Youth (HAPPY) Program has been initiated by CDA to raise the concerns of youth (15-29 years) and to provide them a platform where they can discuss their issues with each other and find out all the possible solutions of their problems, clear their myths & misconceptions regarding different issues particularly health / reproductive health, peace, harmony etc and exchange ideas and skills to strengthen their capacities.
Under this program CDA is carrying (has carried out) following projects/activities
• Youth Peer Education Network (Y-PEER) Pakistan
A United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA)’s supported international program launched in Pakistan which currently exists in more than 30 districts across the country. The aim of the program is to promote peer to peer techniques for healthy lifestyles, ensuring youth participation and doing advocacy for youth friendly policies
• Provincial Youth Assemblies
Another United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Pakistan supported program which aimed at formulating provincial youth assemblies in Lahore, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar engaging young people in policy analysis and ensuring youth-friendly policies
• Youth Peer Education and Awareness Campaign to Reduce Extremism (Youth-PEACE)
A United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAoC)’s Youth Solidarity Fund supported program launched in all the provincial capitals of Pakistan with an aim to sensitize1000 youth including 500 girls, training 100 of them as Young Peace-Builders while organizing inter-provincial exchange visits/intercultural dialogues and National Youth PEACE festivals
• Providing safer sex education to the Young Slum Dwellers for the prevention of HIV/AIDS
An MTV Staying Alive Foundation UK’s supported program with the aim to training 200 young slum dwellers including 100 girls from 10 slums to promote safe sex practices for HIV prevention and organizing theatre performances
